The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Elyton Public Library is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Elyton Public Library strives to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards for this website, the accessibility benchmark adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice for Title II entities. Accessibility work is ongoing, and the library prioritizes improvements based on issue severity while developing practical solutions whenever possible.
