Elyton Public Library is a designated U.S. Department of State passport application acceptance facility. We provide professional assistance by appointment only to help community members navigate the application process with ease and confidence.
Passport Service Fees
Processing fees vary based on the type of passport and service requested. Please note that two separate payments are required for most applications.
Adult Passport Book
$130.00
Check or money order payable to 'U.S. Department of State'. Standard processing (6-8 weeks).
Minor Passport Book
$100.00
For applicants under age 16. Check or money order payable to 'U.S. Department of State'.Â
Execution Fee
$35.00
Payable to Elyton Public Library. This fee can be paid by credit card, cash, or money order.
Photos (Optional)
$15.00
Official 2x2 passport photos taken on-site.  This fee can be paid by credit card, cash, or money order.

Adult Card: $30.00Â Check or money order payable to 'U.S. Department of State'.
Child Card: $15.00 Check or money order payable to 'U.S. Department of State'.
Expedite Fee: $60.00Â Check or money order payable to 'U.S. Department of State'.
Acceptable Payment Methods
Department of State Fees: ONLY Personal Checks or Money Orders. No cash or cards.
Library Execution Fees: Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, or Money Orders.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
- Completed Form DS-11 Application (New Applicants Only) or Form DS-82 (Renewals only and if your most recent passport was issued within the last 15 years)Â
- Forms should be filled out in black ink (do not sign until instructed), or you can pick up the forms from the library prior to your appointment.Â
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship: Original birth certificate, naturalization certificate, citizenship certificate, or previous passport.
- Proof of Identity: A valid driver's license or government-issued ID.
- Passport Photo (Optional): One 2x2 inch color photo taken within the last 6 months. Photo service available on-site for a fee of $15.00.
